Lab 2 Review
This exercise is really good because of the repetition. Having to go through each of the 20 weeks made the technique "sink in". I did very well till I got to section 12. From there I was in quick sand. The buttons are on my map. But, they don't work. And worse, they are so wrong that I am not able to publish the map that I did finish in HTML format. So, I have posted the map as a jpeg file. And will hopefully fix all the bugs tonight in the lab.

Lab 1 Review
Wow! Flash is so much easier to use/navigate than ArcGis. There are few issues that I am not completely happy with my map about, but still. Like I said it is a lot easier than ArcGis.
Maybe someone knows a way to select several states at the the same time. In other programs I hold down the shift key. Selecting each state individually seemed like I was missing some trick.
I made my map with all the states that are participating in Super Tuesday. Since Super Tuesday hasn't happened yet, I am not sure how we are supposed to make the states with a D or R win. I filled each of the Super Tuesday participating states. I hope this is acceptable.
Additionally, I had trouble making the legend. Basically, I couldn't.
Even still, I am SO much happier with this program and the directions we are provided. ArcGis made me cry.
Have a great day.

I like the political map of the 2007 primary. It is active because the reader can scroll across the dates and the state/s with a primary on that date will highlight. I was interested in which states participate in "Super Tuesday" and this map was a good visual reference.
The Montana Map was just funny to me. It is an old map published in the New Yorker. My husband is from Montana, so it gave me a tid-bit of amunition to tease him. This map is also a good before-and-after comparison of cartography. It might be best described as cartoongraphy. I hope my maps look better than this at the end of the semester.

PS- As the family photographer, there are few photos of me. I will replace my blog photo later in the semester, once I have a more professional look.
